What's the difference between a monocular or binocular microscope?
The eyepiece or ocular is where an image is viewed when it is placed on a microscope. There are two types of oculars, the monocular and the binocular.
Monocular microscopes have only one eyepiece where a person can view the image. A binocular microscope has two eyepieces, one for each eye. Both of them can be used on a compound microscope while the binocular is also used in a stereoscope.
